💡 About the Role

Metro South Health is calling for a passionate and experienced First Nations Clinical Nurse to join the Women’s Sexual Health team at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. This role is dedicated to improving sexual health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and communities.

Working as part of the Brisbane Metro South Sexual Health Service, you’ll provide expert nursing care across outpatient clinics, youth outreach, and health promotion programs. You’ll be involved in:

  • STI and HIV screening, treatment, and contact tracing

  • Health promotion and education in community and clinical settings

  • Leadership and mentoring within a multi-disciplinary team

  • Advocacy for equitable access to culturally safe sexual health services

This is more than a clinical role—it’s a chance to drive change, empower mob, and help shape a stronger, healthier future for First Nations women and youth.

🛠️ What You’ll Need

  • You must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (Identified Role under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 Qld).

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent).

  • Clinical knowledge of sexual health, youth health, and culturally appropriate service delivery.

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

  • Passion for health equity, social justice, and community-led care.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills in clinical settings.
