Strong Women Talking delivers trauma-informed, culturally grounded programs to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women recovering from domestic and family violence. From yarning circles and healing journeys to art therapy and community advocacy, everything they do is built on the principles of Education, Equipping, Empowerment, and Cultural Safety.

Now Hiring: Intake & Assessment Officer (Identified - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women Only)

Strong Women Talking is looking for a passionate, resilient and culturally grounded woman to join their Advocacy & Prevention team as a Part-Time Intake & Assessment Officer. This identified role is only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

You will be the first point of contact for women seeking support and healing. This role requires cultural awareness, compassion, and strong case management and risk assessment skills. You’ll help women feel seen, heard, and safe.

Position Details:

  • Location: Hendra QLD or hybrid (work from home and office)

  • Salary: $35–$37/hour + salary packaging

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
